My 3rd Attempt - Donuts

A few months back, i was craving for donuts. Big Apple, Jco kinda thing. Being me, i want it homemade. As usual, i hunt for yummy donut recipe.

Which leads me to MamaFaMi's blog (which i have been following since 2001). Excellent review by her and her family as well. It was adapted from Rima of Bisous a Toi (this is when i discovered Rima's wonderful blog which adds to my list og blogs i heart).

On my 1st attempt, it was a complete disaster because i did not knead the dough until smooth and elastic. The texture was lumpy and did not rise double in size. But i still fry it. My SIL says it taste like Bagel. Hehe.

My 2nd attempt, was not bad. The dough inflated when i was trying to punch a hole in the middle. It didnt ended up in the frying pan. Instead, i baked it. What do i get? Sweet bun! The culprit was the flour i used. It was an Instant Bread Flour. Yikesss!

So today, i took the challenge again. And this time, i'm sure i'll get it right. Alhamdulillah, the dough turns out almost perfect. The donut is soft and yummy. However, ehem ehem, my melted chocolate was not what i've aspected. It was oily and didnt stick to the donut. And why? Because i pour evaporated milk while melting the chocolate. My bad.

Still, cannot waste a good chocolate, no. Using my fingers, i paste the hot and oily melted chocolate to my donut. Huhu. And then cover with shaved chocolate. Yipeee.

It was indeed self satisfactory to indulge in these delish donut. Enjoy!

The Good and Bad

In my first post, i've wrote that i will post things and thoughts that makes this world a wonderful place. I know life has ups and downs. But why dwell upon the dreadful stuff when there are so much good things we can enjoy.

How do you achieve that? With gratitute. Instead of thinking of what we don't have, cherish what we have now in our life. Be grateful.

InsyaAllah, after rain there's a rainbow. Now, isn't that wonderful?

Falling in love again - Fruit Pastry Cake

Before i started blogging, i was an avid blogs reader, especially blogs that post recipes along with beautiful and tempting pictures.

One of the blogs i heart is Bisous a Toi. Great challenging recipes. Yet delicious yummy results. I baked this cake a few weeks back and post it in my Facebook. It was a hit among my friends. Maybe it was my photo, hehe.

So, to Rima of Bisous a Toi, this entry is a tribute to u for sharing wonderful recipes and making me falling in love with baking all over again...

The Beginning

It has been a while (a year i think) that i've registered this blog. It was dedicated for my craft works. But being me, hehe, not really good in comprehension (reason reason).

The color Teal and Green Olive has always been my favourite color. Haven't really care bout colors until i was into crafting. Hence the name of this blog.

This blog is devoted for my love on arts & crafts, baking, cooking, nature and whatever things and thought that makes the world a beautiful and wonderful place to live in. Alhamdulillah.
