Device Removed - Photography

This is a very interesting piece. Its happening around us.

American photographer Eric Pickersgill removed the smartphones and digital devices from his portraits of everyday life. The project “Removed” aims to show our addiction to technology and hyper-connectivity, and Pickersgill knows that he’s also amongst the addicted.

The photographer was inspired by a chance encounter in a New York cafe. “Family sitting next to me at Illium café in Troy, NY is so disconnected from one another,” Pickersgill writes in his notes from that day. “Not much talking. Father and two daughters have their own phones out. Mom doesn’t have one or chooses to leave it put away. She stares out the window, sad and alone in the company of her closest family. Dad looks up every so often to announce some obscure piece of info he found online.”

He achieved the surreal effect in his photos by asking strangers and friends to remain in position, removing their cellphones, and then taking the shot.

Heart

Ever come across this phrase:

"ALLAH holds your heart"

Indeed, ALLAH is in total control of our hearts. No one holds the key to your heart except ALLAH.

Yet many misunderstood this phrase. 

The believer is guided by ALLAH. So that the heart would be closer to HIM. 

As for the disbeliever, ALLAH will pull his heart away from Faith. 

That is how ALLAH holds our hearts. 

If you fell in love with a person, you cannot claim that ALLAH has turn or control your heart to love that person. 

There are two different meaning between Love and Lust. 

Here is where most people are astray. 

What is Haram is Halal to them. 

You can fell in love with a person for ALLAH's sake. 

But forbidden love are triggered by lust. 

Yet they claim is ALLAH doing. 

Is ALLAH to be blame that you have committed a sin?!?

I seek forgiveness in ALLAH! If i were ever thought of that. 

We commit sin when we choose to go against our will, our believes, our faith, our iman. Our heart will scream in agony that its not the right choice. Ant yet we follow our lust. 

We have simply trade our iman for lust offered by dunya. 

Oh ALLAH, the One who turns the heart, turn my heart towards your obediance. 

Amin...

If prosperities (good thing) attends him, he expresses gratitude (grateful) to Allah and that is good for him. In a situation when people are not pleased with your life. 

For no particular reason. 

You didnt even care bout their life and what they do. 

Mental i tell you. 

They will say nasty things. Mostly on social media. 

Why ramble in random?

Face up and slam bang. Point-blank. 

So what do you usually do when you encounter these kind of people?

Why iPhone?

This is not going to be technical. 

There's a commotion going on about iphone and samsung handphone. Which is better? Value for money? Bla bla bla

Apart from its design and user friendly- nest, iphone offers more. Ease of technology in communication. Its simple not complex. Everything has been set and programed for its user. 

Yeah, some people will say that they need to configure their handphone according to their preferences. Well, i say if you an Open Source kinda person, you will find other platform besides IOS more...so-called...in power. Krik krik

Back to iPhone. Notice that it is called iPHONE. PHONE means a device used to communicate. So that's what Apple founder, Steve Jobs, had in mind. He wanted to create a device for human to communicate. And not consumed by it. 

I had this discussion with my husband over breakfast. He has an engineering background (very technical). As for me, an analytical person. Though i was once in the engineering field. 

He showed me a video of a dude doing some random experiments on iPhone and Samsung Note. Ok, i have my doubt on the results. For example, dropping the handphone to the ground simultaneously. The geound surface is not the same. Some are smooth. Some are jaggered. On that point, i dont think that experiment is up to standard. Those guys in MythBuster would never approve their experiments. Haha. 

iPhone is designed to minimize technology-dependency. With its simplicity, a person can easily access the handphone, tap here and there. And continue watching football with friends, play with children, enjoy the beach serenity, take a hike, bake cheesecake, enjoy a good book, dancing in the rain, picnic with family and friends....and the list continues. 

iPhone says take joy in life while you can. 

P/S: dont debate with your wife, she will come out with concrete evidence. Hihi. 

Pretty Girls

Guys find girls pretty. It’s no secret.

They will find you pretty, they will find your friend pretty, they will find their friends girl pretty, they will find their sisters friends pretty, their neighbour pretty. All average guys are like that, They find pretty girls pretty. Period.

They will like your selfie + other girls too + day dream about celebrities. They are just wired that way. If Guys are smart, you need to be smarter. Average people are passion/desire centric, extra ordinary people are Allah centric.

If you want to dress up in a certain way for them, you’re at loss. Because, they will always be looking everywhere nomatter how good looking you may be. Looking at you while noticing other girls even if they’re “committed” to you.

If your self esteem thrives on attention from the opposite gender then be prepared to be an insecure person your entire life. You’ll be running from person to person inorder to feel better about yourself. Islam empowers you. If Allah finds you obedient you don’t need anyone to call you beautiful.

If your worth is with Allah it will reflect in the way you carry yourself. There are many beautiful women in the world. It’s a never ending list. So many beautiful faces around, what makes you different? What should make you stand out?

Your commitment to Allah. 20 years from now for young girls that’s all that will matter. Your legacy is not in your beauty but the way you impart Islam to your children & the positive effect you bring into people’s lives.

A thousand guys can find you pretty but if Allah finds you disobedient, your at loss. Men can’t really give you anything.

Pleasing human beings is a time consuming & soul consuming task but pleasing Allah is easy & fulfilling. 
Think of pleasing Allah. Have a big goal,Be a woman of Jannah. The average shouldnt excite an extra ordinary girl.

It’s okay to have slipped but you need to stand up straight, you may have slipped into mud once but dont try to swim there. Ours is a religion of coming back to Allah.

Also, not all men are like that. Men who fear Allah & apply knowledge of the deen aren’t like that. They are good men. But that’s rare, so be wise. “Good men are for good women”

imagine no one knows you. hendak memanjangkan jariah pun tak berapa luas jangkau cekaunya. silap2 orang ikat tangan kita, jahit mulut kita. bukan xboleh buat, tapi sesuatu yang tak ada kredibiliti itu kan membagi paranoia semata.

tapi getting exposed dan looking for fame adalah dua perkara yang sangat berbeza.

di zaman ini, senang nak jadi famous.

ambik camera, shoot video tekap seterika panas kat pipi, upload dengan tajuk "cabaran 10 saat seterika" atau "tiada kedut lagi". hahaha.

apa sekali pun,

ini dunia.

tak ada satu apa pun yang kekal selamanya.

100 Days Challenge

As i was goinhg thru my instagram and i came across a post on #100dayschallenge. Started on 1st of October, the challenge is to achieve your 2015 new year resolutions which you simply forgotten. More like ditching it. 

OR

Set a few goals to improve yourself. Everyday we pray to be a better person than yesterday. It must start with something. 

Here's some example:

- Pray 5 times a day ON TIME

- Perform Tahajjud everynight

- Perform Dhuha every morning 

- Wake up at 5am

- Lose Weight

- Eat Clean

And the list goes on...

Yes, in less than 3 months, it will be 2016. To achive this, change your mindset - mindshift. Its the most powerful thing. 

Do it now. 

Its never too late to start. You are not too old to change.

Here's some tips.

Financial plan - option

1st. Build a small business. Contoh kita jual kerepek. Modal hanya rm50 (kerepek beli kilo) + rm10 (plastic packaging). Bungkus kecil-kecil and jual. InsyaAllah dengan usaha yang betul boleh dapat rm100. Then you 'reinvest your profit' dengan rm100 tu ulang sekali lagi boleh dapat rm200. Ulang-ulang lagi boleh jadi contoh rm5k. Teruskan business kerepek. Dari rm5k asingkan rm1k untuk buat business ke 2.

2nd. Rm1k dari business kerepek kita buat business yang pesat sekarang contoh busana muslimah. Kita buat jubah and kalau contoh 1 jubah cost rm100 kita jual rm200. So dalam rm1k kita boleh buat 10 jubah and dapat jualan rm2k. By 'reinvest your profit', ulang-ulang lagi boleh dapat rm100k macam tu .

3rd. Investment. Duit lebihan business 1 + business 2 kita invest ke peniaga yang tiada duit nak buat business. Paling best invest pada perniaga baru yang berpotensi sebab perniaga baru akan lebih memerlukan investor dan bersemangat. Investment ni you just labur duit and monitor je. Hujung bulan dapat duit .

4th. Duit dari business investment tu buat business komodoti yang tahan lama. Macam makanan, ternakan atau minyak. Business macam ni kekal lama sebab orang akan gunakan komoditi ni sampai mati .

5th. Dari sini mulakan simpanan. You jangan risau buat simpanan agak lambat sebab you takda loan, so you takda hutang. Plus business ni adalah business yang you start dari modal rm60 jee. So dont worry. The best simpanan is emas dan perak. Jangan sesekali simpanan dengan wang ringgit sebab wang ringgit jatuh nilai minit demi minit sebab our bank print money every minit. Dont simpan duit. Simpan emas and perak .

6th. Finally barulah you reward yourself dengan beli rumah cash, kereta cash or apa apa je lah nak. Siapa kata tak boleh beli cash? Boleh kan. Nak beli ferrari cash pon boleh kalau ada plan dan usaha yang betol .

Its Been A While

Wow, i havent been blogging since January 2013. That's nearly 3 years to date. 

Actually when i lost my iphone (someone stole it 😔), my interest to blog just fades. Well, reason je kan. Hihi
